COVER REVEAL: New GSFWC anthology launching at Worldcon in Glasgow this August, feating one of mine: Gods of the Deepwood Periodically the GWSFC produces a publication to showcase our range and wonder. In the last few years we’ve had Thirty Years of Rain for our thirtieth anniversary and Flotation Device to raise money during the pandemic and many others previously including, for the first Glasgow Worldcon in 1995, Shipbuilding. The Last Shield news

Hi all, I have some good news about publication progress on The Last Shield. I've indicated a strong preference on this one, with an amazing narrator who will make The Last Shield into an incredible audiobook. Proof The proof copy of The Last Shield has been read through and submitted to Angry Robot Books and everything is now in place and proceeding for publication on August 13th. Something...Special Something special is also coming, but I can't reveal it yet...but OOOOOHHHH.

At its centre, the Sunweald Palace is home to the Lord Regent and the heir to the throne, together with numerous precious and powerful artefacts. The Palace is protected by the realm’s elite Shields, dedicated to guarding the royal line against all foes. A group of vicious brigands called the Wildwood Reivers have been stealing arcane artefacts and smuggling them across the borders, out of Sunweald. And the objects they most desire are stored in the mystical Wyrm Vault, hidden away deep in the bones of the earth, within the walls of the Palace itself. As political and religious tensions mount, Sunweald’s druids prepare to enact rituals for the Summer Solstice – but the Wildwood Reivers and their treacherous allies have other plans. It falls to Briar, the commander of the Shields, to d
